Employee spotlight questionaire

I was asked at my place of work to fill out a questionaire about myself. I probably overdid it with detail but thats how I did it. I submit it here as well since it did take me twenty minutes to fill it out. That type of committment should not be kept under wraps. Any and all inaccuracies are completely my doing, my fault and responsibility, probably done to inflate my sense of self worth and none of your business. No small animals were in any way hurt during the completion of this questionaire or during the posting to this blog......I think?

Personal Information:
WORK:
I grew up in a home where the parents were owners of a small music publishing company. I worked doing various jobs in the company from 10 years of age through college. (I still try to pick up extra cash now and then by doing odd jobs for the company) I answered phones, took phone and walk in sales, picked and shipped orders, managed the warehouse, provided customer service support, cleaned, built shelving, and working in the production department doing music engraving on the computer. I then spent two years visiting with the wonderful people of Belo Horizonte Brazil, where I learned a little portuguese. I returned home and took a job in video duplication and production. I also began installing cultured marble for bathrooms. From there I was hired as a part-time teller and was asked to be part of the team that opened the Pleasant Grove Branch of Bank of American Fork. I went from part time teller to full time teller, new accounts and collections. I then escaped banking for two years and worked in the guest service department of the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas as a bell man. From there I took a job as a Commercial loan officer, managing a small loan team, with the commercial banking side of Washington Mutual. I left Washington Mutual to come to Family First Federal Credit Union about 4 and a half years ago to help create and develop our business lending department. I have enjoyed every minute of it and hope to finish my career here with the great people at FFFCU! Gulp….breath….phew…

PERSONAL:
I was born on September 8th in Provo Utah.
I grew up in North East Orem.
I am the oldest of seven brothers and sisters.
I grew up with music in the home and at work so I started playing piano when I was young. I soon switched to the bass, where I played in the orchestra and jazz band through school. I also played the bass in a number of school and community theater productions throughout high school. When I was sixteen, I took my bass and traveled with a group of musicians and folk dancers for three weeks and performed a in a number of shows in London and Greece as part of an international folk music festival. It has now been seventeen years since I last played music of any kind accept the occasional doodle on the piano at my parents home. I recently purchased a new electric bass guitar, motivated by the fact that my oldest son has started junior high and is in beginning orchestra on the double bass, so that I can refresh and relearn the instrument as well. We practice together. He uses my double bass to practice while at home and I use the electric.
I am now married and have four children (two boys and two girls).
I enjoy reading, writing silly stories, music, cooking, sports, collecting books and dvds, trees and gardening, fishing, hunting and family.
I love creative writing and hope to have some of my stories published one day when I grow up.
I love James Bond movies and TV shows like: The Office, House, Top Chef, Iron Chef, Diners Drivins and Dives, C.S.I, Frasier, and MASH.
I am a fan of the following sports teams: THE DALLAS COWBOYS, The Kansas City Royals, The Chicago Bulls, The BYU Cougars and The Brazilian National Soccer Team.

What’s your favorite season?

I love all the seasons for what they bring!

Spring brings an incredible awakening of life with tiny green buds emerging from dormant branches. The sun warms the earth and brings color back to the world. The anticipation of new outdoor projects and planning for the year. Spring flowers, the emergence of people from their homes, walking barefoot in the grass again.

Summer brings the heat, the outdoor holidays, good food and fun, Barbeque and watermelon, splashing, running and swimming, days the last forever and staying out late under the stars.

Fall brings a crispness to the air, a welcome change from the heat and the feeling of shorter days, wonderful change in the colors in the mountains, a feeling of home and family, football and the bustle of back to school, apples and pumpkins, muted warm colors of browns, yellows and oranges, pulling out the sweaters and long sleeve shirts.

Winter brings a beautiful white blanket of snow. It allows for the delight in hot meals, snuggling under a blanket, Holiday family parties and togetherness, bundling up for snow ball fights and snowmen, sledding down the snow hill with the kids, watching the soft snow flakes drift down, illuminated by the porch light, when everything else is done, the crackle of a wood fire, the silence of winter.
